I use del.icio.us too and I am starting to get a hold of it. Also I use netvibes, but the one that I am most impressed of is with Yahoo Pipes.
It takes sometime to tinker with it but I think I can do with it.

Oh yeah I can't wait to start learning more HTML and CSS. Right after we spent last class period working with it, I went home and tried to download notepad++ so I could start making a new site of my own. Of course, then I realized that there's nothing like notepad++ for free for Macs :(

I'm with you guys, at the moment it's just a little bit too much of a hassle to do everything it takes to create a VODcast. If you're into video editing it's a different story, but not for the every day internet user. I do, however, think that in a couple of years VODcasts will be tons easier to create, maybe even with something as simple as a phone.

Seems pretty easy to use, but to me it's all in the visual aspect of it. The vodcasting is more tempting, yet very expensive to get in to.

I agree with you about having to see how something works other than just reading it. It looks like from everyone else’s response to the article the majority seems to be more on the side of pod casting other than vodcasting see how vodcasting makes it seems like you need $$$$ unlike podcasting.

I def. know what you mean. The best thing about podcasting is its lack of $$$$$$ required to use it.

Well I think it would be cool to get experience in both worlds.. maybe its because my younger brother is into video editing and I am a bit familiar with some of the software and most of his work. I tell you its not as bad as you think it is. I am pretty sure if you guys get your hands on it and get into the mix of it, ya'll would like it???

I feel the same way, I don't think I'm much of a video editor or video style person. I know I don't have to really edit the video/vod's but I think I would stick with podcasting, it's easier, cheaper and can still get your point across.

You are not alone in this issue my friend, there are many other students in this class that are new to HTML and CSS. As for my self I found it easy one way and hard the other to understand, after all it takes time to learn scipting.

Hands-on has always been the best way for me to learn html and css. I learned from a lot of tutorials, similar to these, online. The great thing is, like Andrew stated, you only need a small program like Notepad and you can start practicing. I don't recommend learning in Dreamweaver because that program tends to fill in the gaps for you and you don't really learn the code, tho it does become useful when you're in a crunch and can't for the life of you remember if an extra space is or something else! :)
